Welcome to Black Creek Animal Hospital
The doctors and staff of Black Creek Animal Hospital would like to welcome you. We are a new and rapidly growing veterinary clinic conveniently located in the east end of Acton, at the corner of Fourth Line and Highway 7. We hope you take advantage of our numerous services.
Dr. Debbie Hrynkiw owns and operates the clinic. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph and spent time working in the area before opening Black Creek Animal Hospital.
We wish to provide you and your family with personalized veterinary care with an emphasis on honesty, integrity and excellent communication in everything we do. Black Creek Animal Hospital and its staff understand that quality care of your pet is very important and we will provide this through a comfortable and friendly setting, caring and individualized customer service and specialized services.
What's New and Exciting at Black Creek?
It's almost "Senior Pet Month" A whole month devoted to our advanced furry friends, cats and dogs need special care as they age - ageing is not a disease, there are many things we can do to help keep your pets happy, healthy and comfortable.
November is our senior pet month - All senior pet exams will be half price when senior pet bloodwork is done. Bloodwork can help us detect early signs of illness that can then be treated to help keep your pet well. Call us to make an appointment.
Happy Hallowe'en - Why don't you stop by the clinic and show off your pet's Hallowe'en outfit -Get a candy treat for owners and a dog treat for your pet. Or email in a photo of your pet dressed up and we will put it on our Facebook account! - Don't forget, chocolate is poisonous to dogs, so keep your Hallowe'en treats in a safe place.
The clinic is now a Wi-Fi Hotspot. Feel free to log on with your smart phone while waiting for your appointment
Client Feedback We welcome you to stop by the clinic to fill out a feedback form. Let us know what we are doing right and where you think we could improve :)
Paperless Reminders: Please ensure we have your correct email address.
Thank you to all of our clients for helping us work toward achieving the goal of providing a more efficient and more environmentally friendly method to keep in touch. We are still missing some email addresses and will be working hard to complete our client contact list. Your help is very much appreciated.

Consultation appointments with the Drs. are not available during all our opening hours in part due to the following: The Dr is in surgery or engaged in follow-up work with patients. Or it is patient intake/discharge time which may be handled by either reception or a Registered Veterinary Technician, in which case the Dr may not be onsite. If you have an urgent need for an appointment outside of our consultation times, please call the clinic and we will find the best way to address the needs of you and your pet.
Flea and Tick Season
It's getting cooler so mosquito season is almost over. Don't forget to give your last dose of Heartworm prevention on November 1st. The fleas and ticks are still out there and ticks are quite active at this time of year. Please do a "tick check" on your dogs regularly, especially after they have been in long grass. If you find a tick, stop by the clinic to have it removed properly and to discuss the best care options for tick borne diseases.
